This box has been powder-coated to resist rust and deterioration and to ensure that the color lasts for several seasons. Use this product as a window box or place it inside of an existing window box to use it as a sturdy liner. It features drainage holes along the bottom of the box, so you do not need to worry about root rot. One great option to consider is adding a 33.5 tapered reservoir (Item # WW-TAP-33) to the box. Simply place the reservoir inside of the window box and pour your soil over it, making sure that the PVC fill tube sticks out above the soil line. Fill the reservoir with water using the PVC fill tube and your plants will use their roots to wick up the water stored in the reservoir as necessary. You will be able to go up to two weeks without watering, depending on your plants and location. If you choose to use this product as a window box, you can easily mount it to your wall using our 8 Window Box Shelf Brackets (Item # A4-SFB02). These brackets feature a lip that prevents the boxes from falling forward and one pair of brackets will be sufficient to support this window box. You can also mount this window box from a railing or deck with some of our other brackets.
